Steve Lanning
Director of Information and Media Services

Steve is a native of Newport News, Virginia and has lived in the Hampton Roads area his entire life. An early love for photography led him to an apprenticeship with local Master Photographer, Bill MacIntosh and he has been involved in the photography business since that time. In 1988 he and his wife, Cindy, formed CSL Enterprises, Inc. and operated as a portrait studio and event photography business in Newport News, Va. In 1990 they partnered with Taylor Publishing Company, in Dallas Texas and began providing photography and publishing “cruise books” (http://stores.ebay.com/US-Navy-Cruise-Books) for the US Navy and Marine Corps. This business had afforded the opportunity to work with the US Military while deployed and in many foreign ports. Through many visits to the Middle East, Europe and Asia, Steve has gained an appreciation for the resources and opportunity available to us in this country and the obligation we have to share when possible. Steve and Cindy have been married since 1987, live in Gloucester County, Virginia and have three children. They met Ken and Cheri Frantz and became acquainted with Bridges to Prosperity through their children who attend the same school.

Mission Statement. Bridges To Prosperity is a volunteer based charity that seeks to empower poor African, Asian and South American rural communities through footbridge building, thereby advancing personal responsibility, community public works, economic prosperity, and access to schools, clinics, jobs, and markets.
